HOW MUCH ARE OLD ALLOY WHEELS WORTH?
Alloy wheel prices depend on a few factors. Firstly, if your wheels have tyres, the value is considerably lower. This is because the buyer will need to remove the tyres themselves and pay to dispose them responsibly.
Secondly, the weight. Larger wheels doesn’t always mean they are heavier than smaller ones.
Thirdly, if you’ll deliver or need collection. You’ll normally be paid more if you deliver your alloy wheels (click to compare)

ARE ALLOY WHEELS MAGNETIC?
No. Alloy wheels are not magnetic. Alloys are classed as Non Ferrous Metal. If a magnet sticks to your wheels, they are most likely steel and not aluminium (click to compare)
“CLEAN” ALLOYS ARE MORE VALUABLE
Don’t worry. This doesn’t mean you need to start scrubbing your used wheels. “Clean” alloys means that there are NO TYRES. Many scrapyards will also ask for valves & balancing weights to be removed. However, not all buyers. “Dirty” alloy wheels contain these “contaminants” so are less desirable, which adversely affects the value (click to compare)
